There are 4 locations for conveniently launching your kayaks or canoes:

Hiking Trail Leading To Saugerties Lighthouse On The Hudson River.

The Ruth R. Glunt Nature Trail is an easy walk that leads to the Saugerties Lighthouse. Wonderful views of the bird fowl, marsh-like vegetation, colorful wild flowers and the Hudson River shoreline await visitors. Hike the Esopus Bend Nature Preserve.

To access the preserve from 9W in Barclay Heights, take Overbaugh Street. Make a left onto Simmons Drive, a right onto Appletree Drive and a left onto Shady Lane. There is a parking lot that can accommodate  a few cars. When you enter the preserve at Shady Lane, you can follow a 1.2 mile loop trail with blue markers
